My love affair with photography began as a hobby in the days of film, and then grew into a profession after I first picked up a digital camera. I started out as a photojournalist and newspaper reporter, a career that brought me to my current home of Nelson BC in the Kootenay region, where I worked as a photographer and writer at the Nelson Daily News.
It was after the paper closed in 2010 that I began my foray into the world of professional photography. And, while I mainly photograph for commercial purposes these days, the images I create reflect my background in candid, documentary photography. My portrait sessions are always relaxed and fun, as I seek to put people at ease so they can feel comfortable. The result is a natural look and a painless photography experience.
I have been providing customers in Nelson BC and throughout the Kootenay region with photography services for nearly 10 years now – and have won several awards during that time. Whether you’re seeking portraits, architecture images, event documentation or photojournalism for editorial publication, I craft images with the utmost care, using highest-quality equipment available.
And when you work with me, you get much more than just a set of stunning images. You work with an experienced professional who provides full creative consultation to determine your needs, and a plan as to how best we can meet them. Add to that, a high level of integrity and long track record of reliability – and you’ve some of the best Kootenay photography you can find.
